Drew lives and breathes youth baseball and is a true student of the game. Drew excels with a high level of knowledge and understanding of bio-mechanics and physics and has a keen ability to understand the functions of body mechanics related to baseball fundamentals from fielding to throwing to hitting. Drew is also an expert youth coach using a firm and positive approach with players. The combination of Drew’s ability to understand mechanical functions of the game and his ability to work with children and transfer baseball education to youth players has been extremely successful. Drew is exceedingly passionate about youth baseball and thrives on building success and confidence in young players focused on long term development. Drew has been a youth coach for over 13 years with involvement in local baseball programs and Little League before founding NCS Baseball in 2017.
Guy brings an energy to our program that is once in a lifetime to be around and we are very fortunate to have Coach Guy working with our youth players. Guy comes to us with a lifetime of experience in the world of sports bringing massive amounts of positive energy and knowledge to the field every day. Guys combined over 30 years of experience includes 11 years showcase baseball for ages 15-17- showcasing talent for professional and collegiate opportunities, 6 years College Summer League Wood Bat Series earning World Wood Bat-Runner Up, 3 years in Babe Ruth for ages 13-15 and American Legion Baseball for high school ages, 4 years Little League Coach for ages 9-12 and 3 years coaching All-Stars. Guy was also a Softball Coach for Women’s Class “A” / World Series and Girls Softball for T-Ball through High School. Guy was an umpire for College Baseball for 6 years, Women and Men’s Softball for 10 years, and a referee for College and High School Women and Men’s Basketball and Volunteer-Youth League.
Gino has been playing baseball for 16 years. His travelball experience started when he was 13 and went through 18. Gino was cut from his high school team all four years but his resilience and love for the game kept him in it. Gino is currently in his 3rd year at Canada College as a starter for his team. Gino is a utility type player but mostly plays middle infield and center field. There are not many like Gino... Not many players continue even after being cut one year. Gino's heart and soul is embedded in this game and his energy and resilience are extremely transferable to young athletes teaching them to never give up and always keep working hard. Gino disseminates a "team first" mentality and a champion mindset.
Nico has been playing baseball for 15 years now and counting. Nico grew up in Fremont and attended Washington High School where he was named defensive player of the year as a catcher his junior year. He went on to play at SF State before transferring to Ohlone College in Fremont where he is currently attending. Nico brings intensity and passion with a high expectation of his players. He is a hands-on coach who is committed to the common goal of player development and love for the game.
Nick graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino, CA and went on to play Baseball at West Valley College before transferring to De Anza College. Nick was primarily a center fielder but played all outfield positions. Nick played for two years at De Anza before hanging up the cleats due to a shoulder injury. Nick is adamant about shoulder health for young players so they don't have the same results he had. Nick worked for All Star Academy, where he also played travel ball as a youth, helping at camps and doing private lessons.
Al grew up in Mountain View and went to Los Altos High School where he played varsity all four years. Al went on to play Division 1 baseball at Santa Clara University where he was a reliever/closer for four years. Al does pitching lessons and is our main pitching coach.
Kyle grew up in Antioch where he attended Deer Valley High School. Kyle continued playing at City College of San Francisco before moving on to play at SF State. Kyle has previous travel baseball coaching experience prior to coming to NCS and when he's not coaching he is a racing announcer. Kyle is dedicated to the players long term goals, he's vocal and fun to be around.
Coach Dan grew up in South San Francisco and went to El Camino High School where he played three years on varsity playing 3rd, 2nd and CF. Dan moved on to play at Skyline College as a center fielder and pitcher and studied physical therapy and sports science. Dan went back to El Camino High School as a coach from 2007-2009. Dan Started "Punish It Fitness" in 2019 to help the youth community develop their strength, speed and agility skills. Dan also is in his 15th season with SSFYBL where he is now the President. Dan has a lot of experience coaching youth travel ball with various organizations.
